How to access your Google Virtual Tour
1.) Google Maps Knowledge Panel – go to https://www.google.co.uk/maps and search for your business
2.) Previously generated links – see how to generate links below
Here you can check how many times each panorama has been viewed
How to generate links
Open a panorama on Google Maps, click the 3 dots in the top left corner of the window and select “Share or Embed Image”
To share a link click “Share” in the main window:
To embed the Virtual Tour on your website click Embed a map and then select size:
At this point you can select custom size. You can also change it later by editing the “Width” and “Height” in the copied HTML code:
How to add the Virtual Tour to Facebook
You can add a single panorama as a JPG file to your timeline. Facebook will automaticaly recognize it as a 360 panorama.
There is also an option to add your entire virtual tour, but to do so facebook requires your acount to have at least 2000 likes.
How to use Google Cardboard
If the view is distorted you might have to change some setting. Tap on glasses icon in the top right corner of the screen and go to “Switch”, then “Headset” and select a different headset.
How to display Spherical Panorama JPGs on a PC?
If you open the supplied JPG files with a typical image viewer you will see them as ‘flat’ images. To view them as spherical panoramas, where you can look around you will need special software. Here I am presenting two options, both programs are free to download and use.
